UPDATED: Air traffic at more than 40 major U.S. airports was delayed -- sometimes up to hours -- Aug. 26 because a computer network carrying all flight plan data crashed, according to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). The data center where the outage occurred is in Hampton, Ga. The Department of Homeland Security declined to comment.
