Apple iPod Nano Battiers May Have Caused Fires in Japan




Apple iPod Nanos were responsible for three fires according to Japan's trade ministry. The government said three fires had been caused by overheating Apple iPod nanos and pointed the finger at a battery defect. No one was injured in the three fires caused by Apple iPod nanos but Japanese officials said Apple had reported two other cases where people had suffered minor burns in fires involving the Apple iPod. The trade ministry said Apple reported that a flaw in the Apple iPod Nano battery cells could have caused the Apple iPod Nanos to overheat.
